Resolved Question: Advice on training my pup to be my running partner?

I want to train my boxer puppy to be my running partner. She is only 9 weeks now and the vet said if we walk her, to only walk her down the middle of the road and only if its concrete or asphalt, no dirt roads, no sniffing bushes, etc. not until she has her second shots. So, until then advice on training her. She doesnt mind a leash. Will she be confused and want to walk in the middle of the road when she gets older?
